Hair Follicle Treatment Process

Our system employs three distinct laser light wavelengths to target the broadest range of hair colours and textures possible. The Soprano Ice Platinum is well suited for:

• Safe for use on all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI).

• Tanned skin (1-2 weeks must pass after intense sun exposure)

However, even though we can successfully treat a vast array of skin tones and hair colours, we cannot treat the following hair:

• Red

• White

• Grey

• Initial treatment leads to finer hair, resulting in 14-17% hair density loss each session.

• Hair development occurs in three phases: 4-6 weeks for smaller regions, 6-8 weeks for larger areas.

• To obtain the desired, hair-free outcome, a course of 8-12 Sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is usually required

• However the number of sessions depend on the skin type and the nature of the hair (colour and thickness)

• Maintenance appointments are scheduled every 3, 6, or 12 months

The ICE technology cools the skin, preventing burns and allowing virtually painless yet extremely effective hair removal.

• Shave the treatment area the day before the session

• If you have not shaven, we will charge you a cost ranging from R50 to R200. Alternatively, we will have to reschedule your booking

• Use curved scissors as an option for shaving sensitive areas of the face

• Refrain from waxing, cutting, or plucking hair with anything other than razors or depilatory treatments for at least 3 weeks before the session

• Bleaching creams must be ceased at least three weeks before to the session

• Ensure there is no false tan on your skin

• Avoid sun exposure for 3-4 weeks before your session, including solariums and spray tanning

• Avoid chemical peels and laser resurfacing in the treatment region

The treated area may show some redness, but it typically disappears within a few hours.

• Use sunblock to prevent post-treatment pigmentation.

• Apply soothing cream immediately after the session.

• Avoid heat or heat treatments for up to 48 hours.

• Use thermal water spray for refreshing.

• Apply makeup, fragrance, or deodorant the day after.

• Moisturise skin with Aloe Vera-based cream.

• Regrowth time increases with each session.

• Avoid trimming hair between sessions, only shaving allowed.

• Non-adherence to sun exposure guidelines can cause temporary, long-lasting hypo/hyperpigmentation.

• Sensitivity areas may develop oedema within 2 days.

• Some spots may cause purpura 3-5 days post-session.

• Week post-session, hair shaft portion may appear like "regrowth."
